Broken Keyway???

Typically the factory shear pins are brass, they are also tapered. Make sure the shaft and the collar are aligned with the taper before you install it.

Didnt think about taking pictures, but I have it all back together and everything works. I turned a tapered pin from aluminum and flattened the ends to act as a keeper. Time to turn down a 10" piece of 2" square 6061 aluminum stock to round that was given to me.
