B'port clone motor question

I have found canned smoke for replacement purposes, haven't needed to buy any................... yet. ;)
 
Haven't got to it yet. I feel pretty sure it's gonna be fine. Thanksgiving and family coming in from out of town took priority.
 
Just for the record, my “Rutland” branded Taiwanese clone has a two speed motor. High and low speed as well as forward/reverse are selected with an eight position rotary switch, passing through “off” between each active position.

Everything I have messed with, a lot, has been an exact Bridgeport equivalent.
