Agreed. Sent many, many spools of 10 gauge solid copper XHHW to Alaska Flat Rate USPS saving both he and I a fortune compared to LTL pallet in a truck.Isn't that the truth! Flat Rate boxes are a life saver up here in Alaska. Total game changer. Had a pair of press plates for my shop press shipped in flat rate mailers from SWAG Offroad( awesome people and products). Barely squeaked under the weight limit! Got the **** eye from the mailman!FedEx now has flat rate boxes as well, but I've not tried them yet, and I don't know that many businesses are aware of them.
I wager all shippers will offer a Flat Rate program now, they're just about forced to. Good for us, ultimately good for them. I'm embarrassed how many bulky packs are headed my way; that I'd gladly retrieve by road trip, but some folks, well, you all know what's going on.
And my mailman isn't; I expect many ****eye from her. But the dog bark seems to counter it 100%
