Benchmaster?

I've got an opportunity to pick up a Benchmaster mill at a good price, but don't know much about them. Any info will help.

Yes, they're desirable little machines. From the pictures this one looks pretty well cared for and under power so you can check it out. Also has the vertical head and a vise from what I can see.

If the price is good to you I'd go for it, much better than a similar sized Chinese mill.

Unless you know the seller and trust them to hold it for you I'd try to go today. Too many stories of good machines getting sold out from under folks who thought they found a gem.

I’ve never seen that particular model. Most of the ones I’ve seen are much smaller and were just vertical. This machine looks like you can put a collet in it and use it as a horizontal mill. There’s been several times I wished for something like that. Like John said I’d be down there right away if it’s a good price as there’s too many that will sell out from under you.
