Ball bearing burnishing using a lathe ?

Saw this YT short Wow looks like it produces a nice finish.
Wonder about the roller bearing to ball wearing the internal surface that retains the ball bearing, eventually causing chatter with no way to set the clearance or slight pre load?

Is this a well known lathe procedure ? Might have to try and make one when I get some free time. but looks NEAT

This wants lots of clean oil...

You can do a similar process with a round diamond tool.

It's a bit tricky to get set up right in production. You actually need a bit of roughness to smash down!

The resulting surface is very nice for seals as the pointy bits are smashed down.
