Congrats..Thats a great pickup for sure!! You will be amazed at the power on that bad boy. Nice part like you already found is all the parts are available as are the manuals.

I hesitate to post pic of one I picked up for $150 a few yrs ago but wth. Just finished adding a motor starter to it. Its way overkill 1-1/2hp 240v3ph. 10"x1" wheels.

Yours is actually a better size for home shop and specifically for sharpening bits etc. Diamond wheel will be awesome. Just noticed also I like the tables off the sides that tilt..

Cheeseking, that's a super nice grinder! The stand looks just like the one on my tool bit grinder. This one will be used just for sharpening bits. I have other grinders for general grinding, but none as cool as your beast of a Baldor.

Just curious... The pans underneath in your pics - are those filled with water/coolant or are they only meant to catch runoff?? Whenever I grind tools, dipping into the water cup doesn't really cause much "runoff" as most vaporized to steam pretty quick.

Also, I assume 1/2 hp 115v can be plugged straight into a 15A wall outlet with the sm toggle switch in front turn the motor on and off?
Baldor doesnt show any wiring schematics that I could find.
On mine the PO had that switch wired to power the work lights.
Motor had a cord dangling.
I believe the switch also powered a magnetic starter at one time so the lights and motor both come on with one switch.
I had a starter with a pushbutton on hand so I separated them so the sm switch now operates the lights and the pushbutton on the motor starter does the motor.

Do you have any plans for dust collection on yours?? Im hesitant to do more than quick little touch ups until I can get something suitable.

The pans are really to catch the coolant from the drip cup. The cup has a valve to regulate the flow. Yes it is 110/115v and the switch on the front is f/o/r. And nope, no plans for dust collection. My shop is a basement shop, one small corner is set up for the metal machines, the rest is all wood shop. And no i do not have dust collection yet for the machinery. I have a filter for the air, and a shop vac for dust collection at some machines, but bo large collector yet.
