Agree; I check craigslist daily and have seen some items at prices which will never sell.We have a ton of CL adds that have been running for months that are just ridiculous. The items look like they were dug up in some field and they attach the "Vintage" label and ask people to pay them good money. From the number of ads, these people must spend a good portion of their day re-posting them.
The great thing about craigslist it it costs nothing to advertise for sale items, so it brings out many obscure and/or parts items which wouldn't be available otherwise.
The terrible thing about craigslist is it costs nothing to list junk at ridiculous prices and keep the listing running for months and years. This clogs the system and gives the next guy a false sense his junk is worth that also.
As an aside, craigslist user "flagging" no longer does anything to monitor and clean out the crap. We have retail businesses who clog up the "by owner" sections and no matter how often they are flagged, CL continues to allow them to post.
The bottom line - at least it's not as bad as Farcebook.
