There is a group.io forum dedicated to the Atlas/Craftsman 618 lathes where you may find more help. I joined over a year ago, and got some good help with mine, until the moderation became oppressive, so dropped out.

I was just going to suggest the same site. DON"T go by what is listed on the web site. At least, when Joel used to run it, he had far more stuff than he ever got around to putting online.

I have about reached the point on this 618 at which I am in need of the tail stock. I can buy one on eBay for about 150.00 FOB. Does anyone have one they would part with?

Have you joined the Groups.IO Atlas 618 group? Ask your question there also. I think you're much more likely to get what you need by being part of both groups.

I have a newer-style 618 tailstock for sale but its missing the bed-clamp.
