Atlas 1020 Drill Press Part Needed

Hi. The pdf drawing you put up looks like a 1 piece steel part with integral splines, possibly a later change. VintageMachinery has a drawing of part number "54-63 Atlas Splined Bushing...", which looks more like what you need, though the drawing calls out Zamak as the material. (I'm new here, don't know the etiquette about posting such a pic or link) There are people online who 3d print obsolete Atlas parts from the original Atlas/Clausing drawings, I have a 3d printed nylon gear, purchased online, in my horizontal bandsaw. I think I bought it via Shapeways. If nobody's done that bushing yet, might be some trial and error getting 3d printed spline dimensions right. Good Luck!
Also; Noticed the 54-63 bushing looks shorter than yours.
There's also a 702-012 Driver Sleeve that looks like a possibility. You might check with Clausing again on these part numbers.

Thank you for the heads up. I currently have the part at a machine shop and they are going to make the part when they have some spare time. I did contact Clausing and spoke to Brian and he did as much research as possible to find the part or something that we could make work. The drill press was bought by my dad in 1951. I have owned it all of this time and it has been a great unit and drilled many a holes. I probably should by a new used one but at my age i like to fix and keep old machines running as long as i can. I will check the 702-012 and see what it looks like.

Brian at Clausing seems pretty good. He helped me out with a bevel gear for a little atlas woodworking shaper awhile back. Was in stock, same gear is used in the 10" metal lathes.
I like the old machines, I have a Craftsman branded Atlas drill press from the '40s, bought used 15~ years ago, I've never had it apart.
Sounds like you're getting it handled. If you get a pic of the 702-012 I'd be interested in what it looks like. All I found was a tiny drawing in the parts exploded view of an online owners manual.
