heat the brass, it expands very quickly. Just be sure to mark you part where to stop. You might want to use a regular collar to act as a stop, and just drop the brass on the bar. it will quickly drop on.

split collars would be my way--several of them in a row if needed. just need an allen wrench for tightening and loosing.

Ah, that's it! Low profile, and it shouldn't risk much damage to the finish. I'll order a few today.

If the contact surface area is large enough. It will be a lot easier to use glue or Loctite. I use glues in many situations. Quick and easy.
