Anyone ever shorten their scale cables?

As noted earlier. Super easy.

those are nice, but they are big connectors. Good I guess for the box for the touch dro box, but not good for the back of a traditional DRO head.

That is plastic but they come in metal. In my case, I did not want to mess with the wiring of the original plug so I made an adapter.

Looking to shorten this cable, but the metal ferrule is locked tight. Any suggestions on how to remove it?

The ones I have looked just like that. They were glued on with some sort of stinky epoxy, but a heat gun was enough to get them off. Do it with good ventilation if you can. It was a pretty easy job. Like has already been said, pay close attention to the pinouts and duplicate the existing grounding.

Thank you to those recommending heat to loosen that metal ferrule. It worked a treat!
