Used to make Sikorsky parts from true-location prints, (they would not give us the actual dimensions). I believe, as stated earlier, that it could be used with some kind of digital capture device, read cell phone, tablet, camera, etc., mounted parallel to the table to obtain measurements to fabricate / reverse engineer parts. Or to scale up or down parts.
