Yours is probably a better scenario than mine. I was going for the "easy button." )
There are other ways to make them, IE flame cut the 3" x 1/4" plate discs, but then turning them to clean them up is a royal pain from the hard spots from flame cutting.
Trepanning the discs, slow but works, etc
Holesaw just works better.
I use a 1-1/8" drill bit that has been reground as a step bit to counterbore the pucks. Drills the through hole and counterbores in one operation. Needs to be sharpened regularly as the rubber wears the tip off the bit, but twerks!
Pucks, they are at Walmart in the sports section for about $0.97 each and at Canadian Tire for just a few pennies more.
