Another project off the list - Kysor/Johnson bandsaw

How’s the old girl doing Ted?
Running great! I don't use it often as I use my smaller horizontal saw most often, but it's handy when I need to cut something big. Yes, two guys would not be able to load this saw of mine.... weighs over 700 pounds. Picking it up by hand and loading it into the back of a pick up truck is NOT an option!

Ted

It's the most used machine in my shop. Cuts beautifully and has all the bells and whistles;)

Reviving up this old thread...
I bought this Kysor Johnson at an auction last January.
I had put the casters directly under the legs but then deceided I didn't like the saw so high.
Recently, I made this skateboard for it.
Only raises it an inch higher than it was.
Fun little project in my shop.

we have an old johnson at work thats been beat to hell and back. With a fresh blade, she still cuts good.

My old Johnson has been beat to death, too.

But my band saw is from Harbor Freight.

I have a big Johnson. Some day I'll get a saw. Mike

I see I already wore that joke out. Oh well, what do they say, the memory's the second thing to go.
Not til some joker works the 'Key-sore' angle into it. Far be it for me to undertake such endeavor, not even 9:00 am.
