Sounds like you should be able to adjust it about dead nuts then.
 
You are making me envious. 0.00175" over 16" and that's without going through the machine setup! That is incredible. I'm impressed.

I noticed that too. Thats above my pay grade.
 
As you said you did not level it any I would say great, I wish mine was that close. You could shim it a little, then let it sit for a day or so then test again. That might just be a small amount of bed twist. I did this to one of mine and it corrected it. But would suggest going through the full setup and check process.
 
I found a 12" starrett level to borrow. I'll get at that on my days off and I'll report back and let you all know if i can get it closer to zero

I'm looking for a 8" 4 jaw 2 1/4 x 8tpi if anyone has one for sale
