That is an interesting design.

I have had one for a few years now, and love it, sharpening is just the simplest thing, so anyone who is worried about learning to sharpen HSS should forget about it immediately. They also can be used with round tool steel, such as broken centre drills, milling cutters etc these make ready made radius tools.
The one I have is for 1/4" but I intend to get 5/16 and 3/8 holders as well. I have even used mine as a fly cutter clamped in the 4 jaw chuck to face a block of steel clamped to the cross slide, worked very well.
