Advice Needed - Vise for 728

Shars is having a Black Friday sale which includes Tegara vises. So they may be worth checking out.
I have the 4" Tegara vise on my PM25. For the money, this is a great little vise IMO.

I have both a 728VT & a 4 inch Glacern. My glacern is as nice as the Kurt vises my machines at work have on them.
4 inch is perfect for the 728VT.
Well made, well packed no issues.

Here’s the DX4 on a PM-833TV. I struggled with this as well (my thread here) and I’m very happy with the 4” Kurt after getting it last week. It was $563 shipped from Haas.

I wouldn’t have liked the front and rear hang over of a larger vise.

I have a 5" Homage, wish I'd bought the 4". 5" is heavy and takes up a large percentage of the table.

However, I do most of my work with a fixture plate and modular vises.....both of which I made on my PrintNC CNC machine. Here's a picture of the fixture plate and the modular vises in use, holding a solid tool post I was making for the lathe. It turns out that my 5" vise was too small to hold the 6" x 6" block in the flat orientation I wanted to use. It was also beneficial to have access to all four side (excepting the bottom 1/2" on the two sides with clamps and the side with the alignment pins).

I'm either going to mill out some spacers or some slightly taller mod vises to fix an issue that I found machining this part.....the space under the part is insufficient to allow me to directly use a 50-75mm micrometer to measure the thickness with the part mounted.

Thanks everybody for all the great info.
Unfortunately, I missed the sale at Haas but, right as I was about to pull the trigger on the Glacern, I managed to snag a DX4 for slightly less than it would have cost from Haas (and this one is blue so it matches ;)).
