Abs

I too am an apprentice. I attended their 2 week Intro to Bladesmithing in Washington, Arkansas, and it is a fantastic experience. The people involved are super friendly and freely share their knowledge(sound familiar). I definitely encourage everyone interested in bladesmithing to attend their classes.
 
ABS and ABANA are both like that. I attended that ABANA conference this past July in SLC, Ut and took their Damascus class. Great class met lots of folks from all over, ALL of whom were top notch and very willing to share. I think it's great that such orgs are keeping the metal arts alive! That goes for Hobby-Machinist too!!!
 
I've been a member of the ABS for about 10 years, got my J.S. ranking in 2015 and hope to work on my M.S. in about 10 years ;-)

GREAT group of folks with some really amazing artisans
