Gimp is very powerful image editing software but ImageMagick http://www.imagemagick.org/ is easier to use for simple things like rotating and cropping.

I use IM when I have to manipulate images on a remote server via console, of course in text-only mode… I scared someone with that :biggrin:

The difference between machinists tools and hackers tools is just the weight
I just finished to "disassemble" a book I'm writing with LibreOffice to make some "flycutting" of the text and have it "press fit" on the pages exactly as I want.
I guess not many writers require a 0.01 mm precision, on the layout of the pages…
