I have been appropriately taken to task for saying that I made countersinks for the springs on top of the stop body. They are counterbores, not countersinks. My fault.

Thanks for this Mike, it's very helpful as I can imagine these things to about the 75% stage in my head but I get a bit stymied on the details.
Need to spend some time with paper and pencil to get the last 25%.

This older new guy with limited skills thanks you for the detail, pictures and write up.

With out this kind of helpful information I'm quite sure I would have never ventured into this hobby, err or rabbit hole....or tool addiction.
