This has to be real.
There was story of a kid in the day for science fair project where a nasty substance was the cause of Many problems.
Worded like "everybody that consumes it dies" and things like above.
At bottom of card 2 of 3(3 was folded back and not visible) it indicated substance as di-hydrogen monoxide with the monoxide in slightly bolder print.
May have been a petition to sign to make it not legal or something like that, been long time since story was heard and my nt be actual but good anyway...
At a later time the third card was opened showing H2O as water...

I assume it has to have a CA proposition 65 warning label. Everything else does.
