There is a series of homes in down town Rotterdam (Netherlands) built on a 45º angle to normal. At least on the outside, They call them the cube houses....Kubuswoningen. Google them

I bet it costs a lot more to have a house built like that. Where I live the contractors build the houses out of square without charging for it ......... just not as obvious.
