I used to have a MotoGuzzi motorcycle. It was a great compliment to Italian engineering, I loved that machine. It looked and felt like a motorcycle should feel and look. But it had a Lucas electrical system. ('72 model year) I quickly learned that the entire system needed rewiring, and did so with Suzuki controls. Perhaps not the best, but infinately better than Lucas.

We had a Fiat for a while. The term, "Fix It Again Tony" completely fit. Had trouble with the wiring for the idle circuit. Could not figure out the wiring diagram. None of the wire colors matched the diagram. Called a mechanic that specialized in Fiats, he told me they just ran new wires as the factory would use any wire color that was handy to them. Real PIA to work on. So glad when I convinced my wife to sell it. It was her convertible sports car, my nightmare.
