That reminds me the first time I tried riding with an English saddle. The horse made a quick turn to the right and I kept going straight. Horse came back and I had that same image over me. I preferred my Circle Y roping saddle. Where the horse went, I went.
Your problem was that you were on the wrong side of the horse. All of the world rides on the right, and drives on the left hand side of the car, except the British colonies... you were still driving on the left side of the horseThat reminds me the first time I tried riding with an English saddle. The best part is it has a winter blanket on not a saddle. Yes I've ridden bareback a bunch.
