True story. I ordered a new fly tying vise a number of years ago. When I unpacked it, there was a tag looped to it that in so much lawyerese said essentially “Don’t eat this product or you may regret it.” Being duly forewarned, I didn’t eat it. I shudder to think how near death I was.

Also, I stayed in a hotel in California (no, not THE Hotel California) that had a similar sign near the entrance from the rear parking lot. In that instance, I took care to not gnaw on any of the furniture, but, being the daredevil that I am, I took my chances with the mini bar and survived. So far.
