Looking for a little help.

When I clamp up the fixture in my "chinese" mill vise it has a tendency to kick out of square due to the non-locking jaw raising up. Any ideas to stop this? Can I shim the vise ways to eliminate or do I just need to get a Kurt and forget it?

Thanks

I tend to use aluminum jaws and I milled a length-wise slot. In that slot, I sometimes place a round bar and use that to apply force to the piece. It's not a perfect solution in all cases but it works most of the time.

I'd show a picture but, not long ago, I discarded that set of jaws...
