Will this motor work for a VFD on a column mill?

Those are on the list for future upgrades for sure! I did see you post some images on a thread that I started when I first got the machine. Is there a thread with additional details?

There should be multiple posts as I progressed thru various mods on the machine. I don't remember the particulars right now.

Just to note, that is a regular motor. Do not go below 25 hz or you will likely damage the insulation in it. There are inverter duty motors that can go down to 2 or 3 hz.

I agree. I have my VFD limited to 30hz on the low end.
