I just bought a leblond Regal lathe. It came with this lathe collet chuck but no collets.

Is it a rubber flex collet chuck (my best guess) or another collet type?
I did a fair bit of looking for rubber flex collet OD dimensions with no luck.

Yes this collet attachment takes the "flex rubber" collets. There are two sizes of these collets so far as I know, small and large, and that is the large style; I think they go up to 1 3/8". These are not something we can make, you just have to find and buy a set; they come in two Bakelite boxes, and usually are expensive, at least on E Bay.

Karl,

Is there an off-centre ring inside the nut?
That answer will help determine if it is meant for collets with an "extraction groove".

I am currently looking in the Machinery's Handbook for similar dimension collets.

No off center groove.

Now for the real job. The servo shift worked where I bought it, broke when it landed in my shop :(

Those are the correct collets you have referenced on ebay.
You will love that chuck, they are very accurite. We have one for each of our lathes.
That chuck takes the 900 series collet.
Their is a smaller version that looks similar, taking a 500 series collet, we use it on a South Bend 10K.

I don't know where you're located in Minnesota, but if you ever get to Waupaca Wisconsin stop in at RH liquidation:

He sells tons of used machine tools and tooling. The last time I was there he had several sets of Jacobs Rubber Flex collets and a number of chucks. Since I didn't need a chuck or collets I have no idea what he is asking for them. You might want to call the owner (Ryan) and ask about them
