Seriously, that is a angle vice on a swivel base. A nice tool to have.
 
Normally a mill or a drill press.
 
More so on a milling machine. Maybe on a lathe for milling, but would need to be set-up for it.
 
Nice vice, A bunch of nice clamps, and cannot tell what is in the old box, but looks like there may be some nice stuff in it also. If you have the mill or drill press to use it on it will be nice, and looks like it will clean up nicely, Again great find. Hope you got it for a steal.
 
That is called a tilting vise, And is very nice for the mill. Being an a swivel base you can cut compound angles, or any angle you happen to need.
 
Would come in handy on a mill. The table clamps in background are nice too. Those vices usually go pretty high on price if you buy one new.
