Bought top and bottom Kennedy box’s couple years ago from retired machinist that worked at gruman aircraft. Stickers all over boxes appear to be fighters or interceptor aircraft. Full of tooling. Know what a lot of it is used for. Not sure about this plate. The round spots are magnetic. Made for measuring tools with magnet base?

That is a magnetic parallel. It’s used on a magnetic chuck on a surface grinder. The magnetic pull is transferred through the round steel pins into the work piece. It would be used to grind a piece that has a step. There is another style that has stacked alternating steel and aluminum or brass plates.

Thanks for info. Never would have guessed actual use.

Another what is it. Could be more parts to this in drawers

Send both to me, and I'll check them out for you.
LOL , I'll bet you would Jeff . LB , there should be round bars that screw into the threaded holes on the gage . The planer gage has multiple uses , great tool to have in the shed .
