Found this motor up in the storage building, but I dont remember what I took it off of. The shafts coming out of the motor have a flat spot on them, guessing for set screws.

So after I replace the mouse eatin power cord, what would I use this for?

If I read the RPM value correctly, at 3450 RPM, it would be suitable for an arbor type grinder or a T&C type grinder.

If you can't find a use for it, send it over the Mtn to me!

Edit: Do not use this motor to directly replace a 1725 RPM motor! Serious injury could result. If replacing a 1725 RPM motor you will need a speed reducing jack shaft!

So I can make a another grinder out of it and have one just to sharpen my cutting tools. That will be a good addition to the shop.

I knew that it would be too fast for the lathe, but didnt know about a drill press or something, but Im guessing its too fast for that too.

Thanks for the help :tiphat:
