'What in the...' Tool I.D. Please

And in other news, I guess I will be posting pictures of the aforementioned lathe and camelback drill press as something happened where somehow I adopted them or they followed me home...I'm not sure, it's all just been a big blur...

I had one similar. It was from a Stark lathe. I sold it because it didn't have enough clearance for my die head.


Whoopie: The lever is on the correct side, You are seeing the anchor on the back side. The lever (missing) attaches to the large bolt on the top of the slide. A link connects the back end of the lever to the anchor.
 
Oh Man! I scrolled the picture slowly, and ever partial scroll, it just got weirder and weirder. Like a platypus for the machine shop! I almost don't wanna read what it actually is, it'd take the magic away
