What have I got?

This was started a long time ago but looks like you're still active - your Index is a 756, same as mine. Like a 745 without the overarm ram or ability to 'nod' the head, details and options can be seen in Index's assembly drawings in the 745 manual. I'm guessing these changes offered more rigidity at the expense of some travel.

I like the table feed option in both axes, wish mine had that.

Thanks cwins, I eventually figured that out. I still have it and use it all the time. It's got has a few idiot marks in the table and shows some where. When I adjust the gibs for the central x travel it gets a little tight at the extremes of travel, but still serves my purposes well.
