What angle do you keep your compound at?

If you google "Lever Locking Topslde" you could get some info. I made myself this idea a long while ago. It prooved to be so useful I included it on my next lathe, the Chipmaster. I had to modify the cross slide by adding premachined 0.5" steel bars to form tee slots, the make a new topslide tosuit the tee slots. The topslide is locked in place at any angle anywhere on the cross slide and can be moved by releasing the side locking angle. I have described it in detail in the Model Engineers Workshop magazine and in my Stepperhead Lathe write up. Here are some pics of it.
