I'm working on reassembling a western electric motor from the early 1900's (I think). The motor has bronze bushings with an oil reservoir in each end bell. Any suggestions on type and w=eight of oil?
Also the motor didn't have a junction box when I got it. The motor came to me with the wires exiting the stator shell through 4 holes with rubber grommets. I replicated that
There are three 10-32 holes - two above the wire exit and one below. Seems like some sort of junction box at one time. Anybody ever seen what a junction box might look like. I'm likely going to have to fabricate something but I would like it to look vintage and as close to OEM as I can get.
Thanks
Rick
