A while back I bought a w-t grinder from a friend. He had taken it apart to rebuild and repaint and lost interest in it. He changed the bearings and stripped most of the paint off. The only thing it needed was some cabinet tabs brazed and some broken studs replaced. My friend is very meticulous and he had everything that came with the grinder including the broken tabs.
I brazed the 2 tabs that were broken and then knocked off the excess with a die grinder.
I assembled the base loosely to see how it was going to look. The top of the cabinet has two studs the grinder mounts to that are broken.
I mounted the base on my mill and drilled the studs so I could remove them with an easy out. I replaced them with some long set screws and with a few drops of bearing loctite.
So now it's just a matter of deciding if I want to paint it and how I want to power it. I'm thinking with a vfd. If I do all of that, I'll probably keep it and sell one of my other grinders. It's good to have options.
