Whats the advantage of a flat bottom drill bit over an end mill?

It’s hard to find end mills in all the sizes drills come in. And I can grind a drill flat in about 5 or ten minutes.

The only thing I do different is I shorten the drill length then I split the point. Then I don;t have to pre drill hole.
