Does anyone know of any shops in the pacific northwest that does the way scraping? One of small shops is needing their lagun FTV-2SE ways scraped; if someone could please let me know, thank you.

I had contacted a place in Cleveland, said 10 to 15g’s to scrape our lathe.

I attempted to locate a person or company to scrape my little Clausing 10x24 lathe in the Oregon/Washington area. Found one company that does rebuild machines out of Tacoma but they are strictly on site for service. $2500 or so to have evaluated in my garage ($150 hour travel $250 hour on site)
Finally gave gave up on it so let us know if you find a source.

You might check the link below, have not used them but I do recall a post of someone else that did. On a smaller machine it just is not cost effective unless you want to spend some money.

Western Machine works was the company that I spoke with on my 4900.
I will say they responded to my inquiry fairly promptly and talked with me over the phone about the costs and process. Even checked out some pictures to get an idea of work involved. Overall they were responsive and treated me well.
They don't do repair work in their shop so no option to take the lathe to them and onsite work would have amounted to several thousand dollars.
