Your two main issues will be (1) centering the workpiece in the vise (ie, making sure the center of rotation of the vise is located exactly below the center of your part) and (2) your ability to precisely set the rotational angle of the vise with the (relatively) small scale provided on the base. (also - be sure the "rocking" arc is set to zero, so the vise is horizontal.) If the sum of these errors is within acceptable limits, you should be fine. It's not the most elegant solution in the world, but if it gets the job done, go for it!
