Two Gray Foxes on my neighbors roof

I have never seen this before. One was sleeping and the other was just looking around.

Cool! I've had them sh*t on my porch, but never sleep on my roof.

Did you know that a red fox is distinguished by the white tip of the tail, regardless of the color of the body?

Probably for the warmth. Unless they're bothered they'll stay there until messed with or get hungry.

I understand foxes eat rodents. And boy do we have squirrels.
We have moles. We have gophers.
A block away is farm country. Miles of walnuts, hay fields and almond trees. Not to mention all the chickens.
These guys should be fat and sassy

I would like to know how they got on the roof? Pretty cool though.

We had a fox that would come to the backyard and climb up to a fork in a tree. It would wait there for my wife to put food out for it. Beautiful animal.
