I picked up this pantograph engraver yesterday.
Cannot find any markings on it.
Came with two boxes of letters, one marked Gorton and the other marked New Hermes.
The frame is about 16" square, maybe 12" tall.
Anyone recognize the make?

New Hermes, I think, the copy tray is for sure. The ones that I have seen had a spindle retracting handle, I don't see one on this machine.

Thanks John, I've been scouring the web trying to find something similar but no luck so far.

The New Hermes machines that I have seen were larger than the one pictured, about 2 ft or so square, and the pantograph was hinged in the back. and lifted up in front of the machine. I am more familiar with the Gorton and Alexander machines, I have a Gorton 3-U pantograph, and have only seen pictures of the Alexander, which has a similar lay out to the Gorton, which is a real machine tool, not just an engraving machine.
