Tool Chest for Christmas

Looks like a good deal. Ive been mulling over the idea of making one. I have a pile of quarter-sawn white oak flooring cutoffs that would be perfect for a tool chest...
Eddy:

I hope you go for it. I'm not sure there should be a concern using solid woods, especially if it's quarter sawn. If you do , we will look forward to watching the build.

FWIW, I made two tool chests made from solid hard and soft woods -- scavenged from pallets -- and have had no problems with warpage. The carcass's are still square after a number of years. Plus both of the chests have inset drawers, and one even has wood runners. No binding or gap changes even in our coast climate.
