Quick question
Is there a name for this type of nut?
Coming from a multi generational line of heavy equipment mechanics the impulse is to grab the outside rim with vise-grips trying to not use the bigger hammer approach if a solution is available.
046-031 part number as a better reference.
Thanks

Do an internet image search for "drag link socket" and you will see something you can modify to fit the slot. Pick one with a working surface thickness that matches the slot, and grind down the width to fit. Use an arbor press or something similar to apply pressure to resist the tendency of the blade to slip out of the slot. A hand impact driver may work, as the hammer blow helps keep the bit in the slot.

Thanks Provinical!
Looks like a workable option and like the idea of using the impact driver. Will get one on order and see what I can to to get it shaped, worth a shot.
