Super Lube For Lathe Cone Pulley?

I don't know how much grease technology has progressed over the years. I did check and the SuperLube I have in a can in the shop is NLGI-2 and that would be too thick.

Too bad he couldn't have been more specific about which grease rating he wanted in the manual. Looks like "normal" Super Lube is NLGI 2, which ironically NLGI 2 has an appearance rating of "normal grease" according to Wikipedia. I guess I'll have to google around more to see if people use NLGI 1 or 2 for this application.

I use the standard stuff from the squeeze tube all the time for rocketry. It's definitely not a very thick grease; it's not at all like bearing grease.

Way lube is a compromise between grease and oil and have used it for about 26 years.
