Spindle oil seepage

How much is to much . It is on a C&J Lathe . I am running 30 w non detergent oil in it .It does not leak while running but will leak overnight . One quick wipe with a paper towel and that cleans it up . Do I need to replace the front seal? Thanks

Got a 1937 Craftsman/Atlas 12X36 with babbitt spindle bearings. Every thing is tight but throws oil around also. I use 30W ND and it gets on the pulleys and belt and as far as I can see there's nothing you can do about it. It just runs down and I collect it in the pan.

I think that this is just the way it is .It is such a small amout .
