I got some time to work on the bike a bit today.
I found this cool looking back chrome chain stay protector on Ebay and I installed it today.
It looks better against the green without the cMer flash.
Next I sized, cut and installed a new chain.
Next I soaped up and installed the new foam grips with the reworked brake levers.
I used the foam grips instead of handlebar tape because my hands go numb when I lean on them. These will help with that somewhat.
I found some nice black plastic pedals with toe clips at one of my local bike shops. They sold them to me cheap because I'm in there all the time. For cheap pedals the bearings and shafts spin nice and smooth.
They look nice on the bike too.
I cut and installed new derailer cables for both of the new derailers.
All gear adjustments are done and it shifts like new!
I wanted to get the brakes done today too but i didnt have the right cables, that's gonna have to wait till I can pick some up.
