Hi All
A friend of mine recently bent his decapping pin out of whack by not seating a casing properly . So he decided he could hammer the pin straight and then use it again. He forced it into a casing and it got stuck again , due to it not being straight at all. So now he was forcing it out again and stripped the threads off the neck sizer. Thats when he decided he might need help as the closest dealer that will have the pin for him is across the border and wants to charge him exorbiant money for a new one, about the same money as he paid for the whole die set. So he told me his story and i agreed to help him
I didnt take any pictures of the process of making the pin but i got the finished pics
As you can see the top one is a bit worse for wear and has a fer threads short
Here is the finished assembly
Made the pin out of an old air cooled deuts tractor engine's valve pushrod. Very hard stuff, carbide only
