I've been making fountain pens with a HF 7x14 lathe and I have been thinking about switching over to a CNC lathe for some basic operations. I'm not looking for mass production speeds. Mostly things like reducing a piece of stock to size and cutting tenons and threading. Mostly using alumilite (acrylic) and ebonite.
Are there other CNC lathe options in that price range or is Sherline my best option for conversational programming type setup in that price range?
