Had a request on my YouTube channel to provide more detail about the tach I have on my PM 1440TL so figured it may help someone here as well. Short video, but should have enough detail to help anyone out. My lathe happened to come with a nice collar already on the backside of the spindle for me to put my magnet but would be easy enough to make if you don't already have one. Hope this helps someone get set up. Nice to have a tach even if you don't have variable speed. If you have a VFD then it is really a must have in my opinion and pretty cheap addition.
