You will need a way to accurately center both ends of the barrel. I like to do them with the barrel in the headstock. So a spider would be needed for the outboard end of the spindle. If you have the gunsmith lathe it is probably already set up for that. A piece of 12 gage copper wire works well to hold the muzzle end in a 4 jaw chuck. A range rod is a nice item to have to dial it in to center.
The bore and OD of the barrel will be slightly offset so the mounting threads should be trued to the bore, then you'll
need to dial to the OD if you intend to blend the diameters.
